A candidate event of the Higgs boson production with the ATLAS detecter at LHC

The Higgs boson, a missing piece of Standard Model of particle physics, was discovered at the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) experiments, CERN in 2012. Scientists are now aiming at searching for the new physics such as sumersymmetry by analyzing more data of the proton-proton collision at LHC. A team from Nagoya University is playing leading roles in physics analyses and detector development for the LHC-ATLAS experiment. Credit: CERN
