Coalescence of black hole binary
Gravitational wave, whose existence was predicted by A. Einstein in the general theory of relativity, was detected for the first time by American detector LIGO. According to the analysis of the observed gravitational wave signals, it was found that the gravitational wave had been emitted from the coalescence of a black hole binary at 1.3 billion light year distance from the earth.
